Bonjour à tous! How is your life going on? Watched any movies recently? Or binge-listening to any song recently? Tell me everything😤
So, like every post, here are the happenings of my life~
- I finished two k-dramas, one was The Tale of The Nine Tailed and the second one was Cinderella and The Four Knights (I know the name is very cliché, but man, that kdrama is soooo good😭)
- I am watching Twenty Five Twenty One and Business Proposal since their first episodes aired and I still can’t get enough of them! The one-week wait always kills me and I can;t believe both of them are gonna end soon😭
- I am finally done with my annual exams so yay, I’ll be starting 10th offline from tomorrow!
- My sister is finalyyyy back and I am so excited to spend time with her!!
So let’s get into the movie review. When I was small, my sister had watched this movie with me and I remembered what it was about but I had to watch it again with her because I couldn’t recall what happens in the end and how the story goes on. AND I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!
Young and quirky Louisa “Lou” Clark (Emilia Clarke) moves from one job to the next to help her family make ends meet. Her cheerful attitude is put to the test when she becomes a caregiver for Will Traynor (Sam Claflin), a wealthy young banker left paralyzed from an accident two years earlier. Will’s cynical outlook starts to change when Louisa shows him that life is worth living. As their bond deepens, their lives and hearts change in ways neither one could have imagined. After becoming unemployed, Louisa Clark (Emilia Clarke) is forced to accept one which requires her to take care of Will Traynor (Sam Claflin) , a paralysed man. The two of them soon bond with each other.
I cried. I literally cried in this movie a lot. It’s soo sad but cute at the same time! I couldn’t get over it for a loong time and kept showing it to my friends because it’s a really good movie!! I loved Will’s character so much. Like, he is so rude when Lou starts working as his caretaker but then he starts opening up to her because of how open and free and fun she is even though coming from a poor family! He learns to have some fun being with her and stop caring about what will happen next.
Can we just PLEASE talk about Lou’s fashion sense?😂 It’s so funny, like she’ll mismatch every possible thing she has in her wardrobe. No wonder she had bumblebee pants😂
Anyways, the best thing about the movie is the title, it’s just so. deep. I start crying just thinking about it😭 She knows things are difficult in her life but still wants live it to the fullest and here, Will being so rich and everything, he can’t live his life like he wants. That aspect of the movie is so sad because he used to be an adventurous guy before getting paralysed and c’mon, it’s difficult for someone so outgoing to suddenly stay in bed and move in a wheelchair.
The twist towards the end of the movie is heartbreaking but sensible. Of course, I’m not gonna spoil it for you but guys, you really need to watch it. I promise you won’t regret it😭
This was a short review and I don’t want to stretch it anymore and give away the movie because again, I LOVE IT SOO DAMN MUCH🥺
I’ll give it a simple 4/5 because there are obviously some points in the movie they could have improved but the movie is still very close to my heart! The roles Emilia and Sam have played are amazing and the storyline is just awesome! I want more movies like this which will make you cry and laugh at the same time!!
